For more than 50 years, alumni and friends have supported athletic programs at Emory & Henry by joining I–HEY (I Help Every Year). Contributions help teams purchase equipment and uniforms and pay for the expenses of travel to competitions. At Emory & Henry, we believe that athletes are students first. That is a valuable and rare notion among college athletic programs and one deserving of support from E&H fans of all stripes.
As a Division III institution, Emory & Henry does not offer athletic scholarships. Our students participate in athletics because they have passion and heart. Thus, private financial support is especially important for our athletic program. Annual contributions from alumni, parents and friends are the lifeblood of E&H athletics.
Contributions of any size are welcome and benefit the athletic program. However a donation of:
- $100 will entitle you to received two complimentary Varsity Cards, which will provide you with a general admission season pass of all home athletic events.
- $325 will entitle you to receive two complimentary season passes for the VIP section of the stadium.
- $1,500 will entitle you to receive two VIP passes and VIP parking pass for all home football and basketball games. You will also be included as a member of the Patrick Henry Society, the College’s top donor recognition level. All I-HEY contributors will receive free monthly athletic updates via e-mail as well.
Woodrow W. McGlothlin Center for the Arts
On April 19, 2013, Emory & Henry broke ground on the Woodrow W. McGlothlin Center for the Arts. The new center will consist of 40,000 square feet of space for a 450-seat theater, a proscenium stage, a fly system for scene changes, a 150-seat Black Box theater, dressing rooms, production areas, gallery space, and a three-dimensional design studio. Reflecting architectural elements of the Georgian style that prevails on the historic E&H campus, the design for the two-story brick facility calls for an expansive columned portico, large windows and broad staircases. The facility also features handicap accessibility.
